Medical Cost Sharing

TeleMedicine – 24/7 Access to Our Physician Network
Our TeleMedicine program gives you 24/7 access to a network of US-based, board-certified physicians. This can be done by means of a mobile app, the web, or using a telephone. All MCS members have unlimited access to this service. No copay is needed. Please note, however, that pain medications classified as ‘controlled substances’ are usually not available by means of a phone consultation.

How to Contact a Physician:

  • Request a Doctor Consultation by means of a phone call, mobile app, or the web by means of the members sign in.
  • The consultation takes place.
  • Where necessary, a medical prescription is sent to your pharmacy of choice.

The process is simple and convenient with no frills attached.

Return of Contribution Program (ROC)

The ROC Program is one of Medical Cost Sharing’s most unique features and a concept unheard of in the healthcare industry. It works in the following way: If a member contributes for a period of ten continuous years without filing any claims, 100% of their contribution is refunded. But how does this work? Let’s take a look at two scenarios.

Scenario 1
You, as a member, contribute $362 per month for ten continuous years. After the ten-year period, your total contribution adds up to $43, 440.00. During this period, you only used the funds for a minor knee surgery that cost $8,000.00. Your refund works out to $35,440.00.

Scenario 2
Here your monthly contribution, for both you and your spouse, is $565.00 per month, also for a period of ten continuous years. During this time, you need open heart surgery. The procedure costs $200,000.00 which we pay in full. In this case, you would have no refund, but your claim is fully paid.
Please take note of the following:
NO traditional health insurance plan rewards you for your loyalty in this manner.
NO traditional insurance plan rewards you for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
With traditional insurance plans, money not used by you, the contributing member, goes into their pocket.
Our company, Medical Cost Sharing, gives you an incentive to live a healthy lifestyle while giving you the assurance that medical costs are shared if and as needed.
Nobody can see into the future and foresee their future healthcare needs. With the ROC Program from Medical Cost Sharing, however, you have a healthcare investment that works for you whether you put in a claim or not.
Medical Cost Sharing’s ROC Program sets us apart from our competitors. By joining our initiative, you know that money not claimed is paid out to you. It is a great way to save, with the benefit of knowing your health care needs are taken care of in the process.

Vanishing Personal Responsibility

MCS Medical Cost Sharing exclusively offers Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Platinum Plan users our Vanishing Personal Responsibility (VPR) benefit. Simply put, we reduce your personal responsibility (much like a deductible in traditional insurance) by $100 for every year you are a member.
At MCS we do not raise the bar. Instead, we set industry standards. We find you ways to cut on healthcare cost, making healthcare simple, easy, and most importantly, affordable.
Our programs reflect the current market, giving you real, tangible options to choose from. Understanding that the marketplace has changed, MCS does not do a repeat of what has been done and leaving you with the same results. Instead, our VPR program takes changes into consideration at no extra cost to you. This, we feel, is the way that healthcare should operate.

How Vanishing Personal Responsibility Works
MCS members pay a monthly payment. With regular health insurance, this is referred to as a ‘monthly premium’. As we are not an insurance company, the correct way of referring to this payment is a ‘monthly contribution’. All health care plans expect members to make a certain contribution before they start paying your medical claims. In the case of health care insurance, you would need to pay this amount before your health care benefits are covered. This is referred to as a deductible. In the case of a medical cost-sharing organization, this is referred to as a ‘personal responsibility’.
For every continuous year you are an MCS member, your personal responsibility is reduced by $100. This reduction includes all our offered plans, for each year you are a member. It also includes every paid family member. This continues until your personal responsibility reaches zero.

How Your Healthcare Costs Are Reduced With VPR
If your personal responsibility is $1000, it would be $500 after five years. The tenth year would see you zero out. In other words, you would no longer have a personal responsibility. All payments are allocated towards your healthcare expenses.
